Terms of Service

Effective Date: 31 July 2026 Last Updated: 31 July 2026

These terms govern your use of this website and your purchase of a TuneBit license. Your use of the software itself is governed separately by the End User License Agreement; where the two documents overlap, the EULA governs the software and these terms govern the purchase.

1. Accounts

You need an account to buy a license and to manage the devices attached to it. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.

Give us an email address you actually read — it is where license codes, receipts and renewal notices go.

2. What you are buying

A TuneBit license is a one-year, one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing renews automatically and there is nothing to cancel.

  • Personal — $29.95 per year, covering up to five computers you own or control.
  • Technician — $89.95 per year per USB stick, usable on an unlimited number of computers you service.
  • Volume and OEM — priced individually; contact us.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you are, which is calculated at checkout.

2.1 Renewals

Buying again before your term ends adds another year to the time you have left rather than replacing it, and re-issues your existing license codes with the new expiry automatically. Buying after your term has lapsed starts a fresh year from that date.

2.2 Moving licenses between devices

You may remove a device from your dashboard to free its seat and register a different one, as often as you like. Each seat may only be in use on one device at a time.

3. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. By buying, you agree to Stripe's terms as well as ours. We do not receive, store or process your card details at any point.

If a payment is reversed, charged back or disputed after we have issued a license, we may suspend or revoke the licenses that payment covered.

4. Coupons and discount codes

Discount codes are promotional and offered at our discretion. Unless the specific offer says otherwise:

  • a code may be limited by a total number of redemptions, an expiry date, or both;
  • only one code applies per order;
  • codes carry no cash value and cannot be exchanged for one;
  • a code applied to an order that is canceled or never paid is released and becomes available again;
  • we may withdraw or disable a code at any time, including one that has already been published, though we will honor it on orders already completed.

Using a code obtained through automated harvesting, resale, or by circumventing a limit we set is a breach of these terms, and we may void the resulting order.

5. Refunds

If TuneBit does not do what you needed, tell us within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. We will ask what went wrong so we can fix it, but the refund does not depend on your answer.

After 30 days, refunds are at our discretion. Renewal purchases are refundable on the same basis, measured from the renewal date.

Refunded orders have their licenses revoked.

6. Acceptable use of this site

Do not attempt to break into accounts that are not yours, probe or overload the site, scrape it at volume, or interfere with the licensing system. We rate-limit sign-in attempts and log security events; accounts involved in abuse are suspended.

7. Availability

We work to keep this site and the license validation endpoint available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. TuneBit is deliberately built to keep working while our servers are unreachable — license verification happens on your machine, and the app only re-confirms with us every three days, falling back to the cached result in between. An outage on our side therefore has to last longer than three days before any customer notices it, and reconnecting clears it immediately.

8. Intellectual property

TuneBit, its name, logo and all associated software and content are owned by Sullivan Technology. Buying a license grants you the rights set out in the EULA and nothing more.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The warranty disclaimers, assumption of risk, and limitation of liability set out in the EULA apply equally to your use of this website. In short: the software modifies your operating system, that carries real risk, you are responsible for having backups, and our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the preceding twelve months.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by asking us. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or the EULA, or where a payment has been reversed. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability — do so.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Changes do not apply retroactively to orders already placed.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under them is to be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, North Carolina, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing here removes any statutory consumer rights you have where you live.
